Configure the webhook in Uptime.com

Configure webhook endpoints so that Uptime.com can use the endpoint to communicate with Incident Response.

Procedure

  1. Log in to your Uptime.com application console.
  2. Navigate to Notifications > Integrations.
  3. Click New Profile.
  4. In the Add Integration Profile dialog box, from the Provider Type list, select Custom Postback URL (Webhook).
    Add integration profile.
  5. In the form, fill in the fields.
    Field Description
    Name Name for the webhook integration profile.
    URL Webhook URL copied from Incident Response.
    Details for the webhook integration.
  6. Click Save.
  7. Optional: To test the connection, click Start Test.
    Testing the connection will not create alerts in Incident Response.

Results

When alerts are triggered in Uptime.com from the monitoring checks, alerts are created in Incident Response.

What to do next

Closing an Uptime.com alert

In Uptime.com, alert IDs are different for when an alert is raised and when it is closed. So the alerts have to be closed manually in LIR. To close an alert, follow the steps given in Close an alert.
