Configure the webhook in Tanzu

Configure webhook endpoints so that Tanzu can use the endpoint to communicate with Incident Response.

  1. Log in to your Tanzu application console.
  2. Navigate to Alerting > Alerts Targets.
    Create an alert target.
  4. In the Create Target Alert form, fill in the form:
    Field Description
    Name Name for the alert target.
    Description Description for the alert target.
    Triggers Select the alert triggers.
    Type Select Webhook.
    Default Recipient Webhook URL copied from Incident Response.
    Content Type Select application/json.
    Body Template Select TEMPLATE, then select Generic Webhook.

    Replace the generic webhook template with the payload copied from Incident Response.

    Enter alert target details.
  5. Click Save. The webhook alert target is added to the Alert Targets page.
  6. In the Alert Targets page, from the Name column, copy the alert target ID. You will need this when adding the alert target to the alert configuration.
    Copy the alert target ID.

What to do next

Add the alert target to the alerts that you want Lightstep Incident Response to handle.

  1. Create or edit an alert.
  2. Enter the conditions for the alert.
  3. In the Recipients section, click + alert target and enter the alert target ID which you copied and select the alert target from the list against the severity of your choice.

    Add alert target to recipient.

  4. Click Save.
