Save an on-call schedule as a template

Save an on-call schedule as a template to save time and to avoid creating schedules from scratch. Schedule templates allow you to create a daily or weekly schedule that is reusable.

Before you begin

Role required: Manager or Administrator

About this task

Note: Only the manager of the team or an administrator can save a schedule as a template.

Procedure

  1. Log in to Incident Response.
  2. On the navigation pane, click On-call teams.
    The On-call teams landing page from where you can search for a team, sort teams, or create a new team.
  3. Click the team's card for the on-call schedule that you want to save as a template.
    By default, the On-call schedule tab is selected.

  4. Click the more actions icon (The More actions icon) and then select Save as a template.

  5. On the form, fill in the fields.
    Field Description
    Name your template Name of the template.
    Description Brief description of the purpose of the template.
    Only visible to me Option to specify whether the template is for personal or general use. If you select the check box, the template is visible only to you.
  6. Click Save.
    The on-call schedule is saved as a template and marked as Custom.
    The on-call schedule is saved as a template and marked with the word Custom.
    If you want to delete the custom on-call schedule template, click the more actions icon (The More actions icon.) and then select Delete.
