Reassign an Incident Response alert

Reassign an alert to a responder when the alert task should be addressed by a particular user.

Before you begin

This action is available when the Assigned to field in the alert is populated.

Role required: Responder, Manager, or Administrator

Procedure

  1. Log in to Incident Response.
  2. On the left navigation pane, click Alerts.
  3. In the list view: If the alert has not been acknowledged, acknowledge it first, and then select Reassign from the More actions icon (More actions icon) to the right of the alert.
  4. In the form view: If the alert has not been acknowledged, acknowledge it first, and then select Reassign from the Actions list menu. Save.
    The alert is now assigned to the new responder and an email notification sent.
