Send a mobile incident to the desktop

Switch between Incident Response mobile app and your desktop without any hassle. The Incident Response mobile app works seamlessly with the desktop version of Incident Response. Send a mobile incident and continue working on your incident from desktop.

Before you begin

The incident state must be either open, work in progress, or resolved.

Role required: Responder, Manager, or Administrator

Procedure

  1. Access your instance using the Lightstep Incident Response mobile app.
  2. On the tab bar, tap the incidents icon (The Incidents icon on the Tab bar.).
    Incidents appear as a list under the following tabs:
    Tab Description
    My open List of all open incidents assigned to you or for which you are a part of the responder list.
    Unassigned List of all the unassigned incidents assigned to your team.
    All incidents List of all the incidents in the organization.
    Note: To view the details of an incidents, tap the record.
  3. Tap to open the incident in the detailed view.
  4. Tap the action icon (The Action icon).
    Edit incident details.
  5. On the action sheet, select Work on desktop.
    On your desktop, a confirmation dialog box appears to confirm that you want to continue working on desktop from your mobile session.

  6. Click Confirm.
    The incident record opens on the desktop.
