Configure the webhook in Mezmo

Configure webhook endpoints so that Mezmo can use the endpoint to communicate with Incident Response.

Role required: Responder, Manager, or Administrator

  1. Log in to your Mezmo application console.
  2. Navigate to Settings > Alerts.
  3. Click Add Preset.
  4. Enter a name for the preset.
  5. Select Webhook as the notification channel.
    Create a webhook preset.
  6. Enter the threshold conditions for the alert.
  7. In the Method & URL field, select POST from the list.
  8. Enter the webhook URL copied from Lightstep Incident Response.
  9. In the Body field, enter the payload copied from Lightstep Incident Response.

    To check the connection with  Lightstep Incident Response, click Test. This will create an alert in Incident Response.

  10. Click Save alert.

What to do next

Attach the alert to your views.

  1. Click Views and select the view name.
  2. Click Attach an alert and select the webhook alert.

Closing a Mezmo Alert

Mezmo doesn’t provide closing payload for an alert. To close an alert from Mezmo, follow the steps given in Close an alert.
