New relic is an all-in-one web application performance tool that provides performance insight from the end user experience, through servers, and down to a line of application code.

What does Incident Response offer New Relic users?

Incident Response has a native integration with New Relic Alerts. Use the integration to send alerts from New Relic to Incident Response's API with detailed information. Incident Response acts as a dispatcher for New Relic alerts, determines the right people to notify based on on-call schedules, notifies users via email, text messages (SMS), phone calls, and iPhone & Android mobile push notifications, and escalates alerts until the alert is acknowledged or closed.

Functionality of the integration

  • Create a notification channel of type webhook at New Relic to send events to Incident Response. Add that notification channel to policy.
  • Configure policies on New Relic and attach alert conditions to the policy based on which alert will be generated at New Relic.
  • Whenever there is a violation in any alert conditions, an alert is created on New Relic portal and the same alert is sent to the Incident Response URL defined in the notification channel.
