Nagios Core integration with Incident Response
Nagios is an open-source infrastructure monitoring tool. It monitors your hosts and services that you have defined and notifies you if any of the hosts or services go down.
Configure Nagios to monitor critical IT infrastructure components, including system metrics, network protocols, applications, services, servers, and network infrastructure.
What does Incident Response offer Nagios users?
Incident Response has a native integration with Nagios. Use the integration to send alert from Nagios to Incident Response's API with detailed information. Incident Response acts as a handler for these alerts, determines the right people to notify based on escalation polices and previously provided points of contact, and on-call schedules, notifies users via email, text messages (SMS), phone calls, and iPhone & Android mobile push notifications, and escalates alerts until the alert is acknowledged or closed.
Functionality of the integration
- Whenever there is a violation in any alert conditions, an alert is created on the Nagios portal and the same is sent to the Incident Response using the webhook url defined in the command.
- When an alert is closed in Nagios, the related alert is automatically closed in Incident Response through the integration.
