Incident and alert notifications are sent to users through different channels.

Incident and alert notifications

Incident and alert notifications are sent only when the team setup is complete. By default, some of the notifications are enabled. Under the incident and alert subcategory, you can enable or disable the following types of notifications:

Added to alert responder list All users who are added to the alert responder list. Slack, SMS, Email, Microsoft teams
Added to incident responder list All users who are added to the incident responder list. Slack, SMS, Email, Microsoft teams
Alert assigned to me User who is assigned to the alert. Slack, SMS, Email, Microsoft teams
Incident assigned to me User who is assigned to the incident. Slack, SMS, Email, Microsoft teams
Incident assigned to team All team members of a team to which the incident is assigned. Slack, SMS, Email, Microsoft teams
Incident new comments User who is assigned to the incident as well as the users included in the watchlist.
Note: If the incident is added to a team and no user is assigned for the incident, notification is sent to all the members of the team.

Alert new comments User who is assigned to the alert as well as the users included in the watchlist. Slack, SMS, Email, Microsoft teams
Incident state changed User who is assigned to the incident, all users in the team as well as the users included in the watchlist. Slack, SMS, Email, Microsoft teams
New collaboration channel User who is assigned to the incident as well as the users included in the watchlist. Slack, SMS, Email, Microsoft Teams

If user A adds user B to the incident or alert Comments field, an email notification is sent to user B.
