Incident and alert notifications

Incident and alert notifications are sent to users through different channels.

Incident and alert notifications are sent only when the team setup is complete. Under the incident and alert subcategory, you can enable or disable the following types of notifications:

Notifications Users who are notified Available channels
Added to alert responder list All users who are added to the alert responder list. All
Added to incident responder list All users who are added to the incident responder list. All
Alert assigned to me User who is assigned to the alert. All
Incident assigned to me User who is assigned to the incident. All
Incident assigned to team All team members of a team to which the incident is assigned. All
Incident new comments User who is assigned to the incident as well as the users included in the watchlist.
Note: If the incident is added to a team and no user is assigned for the incident, notification is sent to all the members of the team.
Slack, SMS, Email
Incident state changed User who is assigned to the incident, all users in the team as well as the users included in the watchlist. All
New alert work notes User who is assigned to the incident as well as the users included in the watchlist. Slack, SMS, Email
New incident work notes User who is assigned to the incident as well as the users included in the watchlist. Slack, SMS, Email

If user A adds user B to the incident Comments or Work notes field or to the alert Work notes field, an email notification is sent to user B.
