Incident and alert notifications are sent to users through different channels.
Incident and alert notifications
Incident and alert notifications are sent only when the team setup is complete. By default, some of the notifications are enabled. Under the incident and alert subcategory, you can enable or disable the following types of notifications:

Incident new comments | User who is assigned to the incident as well as the users included in the
watchlist. Note: If the incident is added to a team and no user is assigned for
the incident, notification is sent to all the members of the
team. |

If user A adds user B to the incident or alert Comments field, an email notification is sent to user B.
