Configure the webhook in Honeycomb

Configure webhook endpoints so that Honeycomb can use the endpoint to communicate with Incident Response.

Role required: Responder, Manager, or Administrator

  1. Log in to your Honeycomb application console.
  2. Navigate to Account > Team Settings.
  3. Select Integrations and click Add Integration.
    Add an integration.
  4. In the Add Integration form, fill in the fields:
    Field Description
    Provider  Select Webhook  from the list.
    Name  Name for the webhook .
    Webhook URL  Webhook URL copied from LIR.
    Shared Secret  API key generated in Honeycomb. For detailed information, see Find API Keys
    Add integration details.
  5. Click Add.

What to do next

Add the webhook integration to the Triggers you want LIR to handle.
  1. Create or edit a Trigger. For detailed information, see Alert with Triggers.
  2. Define the trigger and add the alert conditions.
  3. In the Recipients section, click Add Recipient.

    Add recipients.

  4. Select the webhook integration created for LIR.

    Add webhook as the trigger recipient.

  5. Click Add.
