On-call member criteria

To deliver outstanding results consistently, high-performing teams cover for each other when a member is on time off.

  • In a shift with primary and backup members, a backup member is on call only if the primary member is on time off and has not applied for any coverages.
  • In a shift with a primary coverage and a backup member, the primary coverage is the on-call person.
  • In a shift with a primary member and a backup coverage, the backup coverage will be on call when the primary member is on time off.
If a team member is on time off or applies for a coverage, then the assignment of a member to the shift follows one of these criteria:

Time off No Yes No The shift displays the primary coverage member.

Time off Time off Yes No The shift displays the primary coverage team member.
Time off Time off No Yes The shift displays the backup coverage team member with the letter B. If you click the shift details, you see the backup coverage member.
No Time off No No The shift displays the primary team member.
No Time off No Yes The shift displays the primary team member. If you click the shift details, you see both the primary members as well as the member who is providing backup for coverage.
