Configure a webhook in Sentry

Configure webhook endpoints so that Sentry can use the endpoint to communicate with Incident Response.

  1. Log in to your Sentry application console.
  2. Navigate to Settings > Developer Settings.
    New internal integrations page in Sentry.
  3. To create a new internal integration, click New Internal Integration.
  4. On the Sentry Integration Details page, for the Internal Integration Details section, fill in the fields.
    Field Description
    Name Name of your integration.
    Webhook URL Webhook URL that you copied from Incident Response.
    Alert Rule Action toggle switch to enable the integration. Enable by moving the toggle switch to the right.

    When enabled, the integration becomes available in Issue Alert rules and Metric Alert rules in Sentry. The alerts will be sent to Lightstep Incident Response.

    Authorized JavaScript Origins Auth Tokens from the browser to allow the origins of the pages making the requests.

  5. In the Permissions section, for Issue & Event, select Admin.
  6. In the Webhooks section, select the issue check box.

  7. Click Save Changes.
