Configure a webhook in Postman

Configure webhook endpoints so that Postman monitors can use the endpoint to communicate with Lightstep Incident Response.

Role required: Responder, Manager, or Administrator

  1. Log in to your Postman application console.
  2. Navigate to your workspace or create a new one.
  3. From the workspace, click Collections.
  4. Create a new collection or select an existing one.
  5. Create your collection requests and add your scripts to validate the response of the API.

  6. From the workspace, click Monitors.
  7. Create a monitor, and add the collection to the monitor.

  8. Navigate to Home > Integrations > Browse All Integrations.
  9. Click Webhooks.

  10. From the Post monitoring results row, click Add Integration.

  11. On the Add integration page, fill in the fields.
    Field Description
    Nickname Name for the integration.
    Choose workspace Workspace to which your monitor belongs.
    Choose Monitor Monitor with your collection requests. The results of the selected monitor are sent to the webhook.
    Webhook URL Webhook copied from the Postman integration in Lightstep Incident Response.
  12. Click Add Integration.

If the Postman monitor fails based on your configuration, you will receive alerts in Lightstep Incident Response.
