Configure the webhook in Catchpoint

Configure webhook endpoints so that Catchpoint can use the endpoint to communicate with Incident Response.

  1. Log in to your Catchpoint application console.
  2. Navigate to Settings > API.
    API settings.
  3. From the Alert Webhook section, click Add URL to create a new alert webhook.
  4. In the Alert webhook form, fill in the fields.
    Field Description
    Name Name for the webhook.
    Status Set the status to Active.
    Format Select Template and add the template created for this webhook.
    To create a new template,
    1. Click Template and click Add new.
    2. In the template form, fill in the fields:
      • Name: Name for the template.
      • Format: Select JSON.
      • Template: Payload copied from Lightstep Incident Response.
    3. Click Save.

    On Failure Alert Email address of the user to whom the alert notification must be sent.
    Notification Trigger Select the value from the list for after how many attempts the user should receive the alert notification.
    Apply to (Optional) Select the All Alerts check box to receive notifications for all alerts.

    Create alert webhook.

  5. Click the Enable radio button to enable the alert webhook.
  6. Click Save.

What to do next

Add the API URL to your alerts.

  1. Navigate to Control Center > Tests.
  2. Create a new product or edit an existing one.Create a product.
  3. Enter the required fields for the product including the targeting and scheduling of the test.
  4. In the Alerts section, perform the following:
    1. Turn the Alerts Enabled toggle switch on.
    2. Select recipients for the alert.
    3. Enter the subject for the alert.
    4. In the API Endpoints field, select the API URL created for Lightstep Incident Response.

  5. Configure the remaining fields based on your requirements.
  6. Click Save.
