Configure the webhook in Apica

Configure webhook endpoints so that Apica can use the endpoint to communicate with Incident Response.

Role required: Responder, Manager, or Administrator

  1. Log in to your Apica console.
  2. Navigate to Manage > Alerts > Recipients.
  3. Select the user.
  4. Click the Add Webhook Target icon for the user.
    Click the Add Webhook Target icon.
  5. In the webhook form, fill in the fields:
    Field Description
    Service Select Custom.
    Target Name Name for the webhook.
    Trigger URL Webhook URL from Incident Response.
    Method Select POST.
    Content Type Select application/json.
    Data Payload copied from Incident Response.

  6. Click the Save icon.

What to do next

Add the webhook to the checks that you want Incident Response to handle.

  1. Navigate to Manage > Alerts.
  2. Select a check.
  3. In the Select targets field, select the webhook created earlier.

  4. Click Save Alert.
